Your XP (Experience Points) and Reputation are the foundation of your company’s growth in OnAir.
They determine how fast you level up, earn Skill Points, and unlock new gameplay opportunities such as advanced jobs, AI pilots, and FBO management.
You can earn XP simply by completing jobs and registering successful flights.
The XP gained is displayed in the “XP” column of the Logistics Center:

Each successful flight grants XP based on:
💡 Longer flights and more challenging jobs yield higher XP.
Different job types reward XP differently:
| Job Type | XP Gain | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Level Missions | 🔹 Very high | The best way to progress early in the game |
| Sightseeing / Fighter Tours | 🔹 High | Excellent for XP and reputation |
| Cargo / Passenger / Fragile | ⚪ Moderate | Balanced XP and credit gain |
| Dangerous / Medical / Undercover | ⚪ Moderate | Requires unlocked skills |
| AI Flights | 🔸 None | AI flights do not grant XP |
Your company’s Reputation reflects your reliability and professionalism.
It increases or decreases based on flight quality, mission completion, and AI crew performance.
Your reputation improves naturally with every successful flight you complete.
Flying with Realistic Procedures enabled gives additional bonuses (see Realistic Procedures →).
AI flights do not grant XP, but they affect your reputation depending on crew skill level:
| Situation | Impact |
|---|---|
| Crew average skill > Company Reputation | 📈 Reputation increases |
| Crew average skill < Company Reputation | 📉 Reputation decreases |
Example:
If your company’s reputation is 50%, and your AI crew’s average skill is 65%, each AI flight will slowly raise your reputation until it matches 65%.
You can improve your crew’s skill level through training (see AI Employees & Training →).
Certain settings and behaviors can grant extra XP or reputation bonuses:
| Bonus Type | Condition | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Realistic Procedures | Enabled in settings | +XP & Reputation based on realism |
| Smooth Landing | Low landing rate & G forces | Bonus to reputation |
| Safety & Comfort Rules | No overspeed, stall, or abrupt maneuvers | +XP boost |
| IMC or Night Landings | Low visibility or night ops | XP & reputation bonuses |
For detailed scoring mechanics, see the Flight Score System →.
Each time you gain enough XP, your company levels up and earns Skill Points.
You can spend these points in the Skill Tree to unlock new abilities, job types, and efficiencies.
