After flying jobs in Onboarding Mode, you can choose to move on to the Advanced Career Mode.
This is where OnAir truly opens up — giving you full control over your airline’s operations, finances, and growth.
Advanced Career Mode is the full management experience in OnAir.
You’ll go beyond freelance jobs and start running your own company — managing aircraft, employees, and facilities.
In this mode, you can:
💡 It’s the core experience of OnAir — turning your pilot career into a business empire.
You can unlock Advanced Career Mode whenever you want, but it’s highly recommended to stay in Freelance Mode for a while first.
Here’s why:
🧩 Freelance Mode is designed to prepare you for success — think of it as your training phase before running a real airline.
You can manage your Company Mode at any time, whether you want to start full management, pause your company temporarily, or return to active operations.
There are two ways to access the Company Mode settings:
From the Freelance Dashboard
When you're in Onboarding Mode, click the "Start Advanced Career Mode" button to open the settings and manage your company mode.
From the Preferences Menu
Go to Options → Preferences → Company Mode

Click on the "Switch" button
When you switch, OnAir automatically calculates your starting capital based on your freelance activity.
You’ll see a confirmation window showing:
Example:
Your current freelance earnings: 85,000 Cr
Plus additional equity: 170,000 Cr
Your starting capital will total: 255,000 Cr
This ensures every hour and credit earned during your freelance phase gives you a meaningful head start for your company.

You may also select the Airliner Start option before confirming your switch.
This gives you enough capital to lease larger aircraft such as a B737 or A320, and places you on a dedicated leaderboard for Airliner pilots.
It’s perfect for players who want to skip the small aircraft phase and jump straight into airline-scale operations.
⚠️ Once confirmed, this choice is permanent for that company.
🏆 If you choose Airliner Start, your company will appear on a dedicated Airliner leaderboard, ranking you among other players who began their journey with large aircraft.
After switching:
💬 Once you leave Onboarding Mode, you can’t go back — but you can temporarily pause your company later by switching to Freelance Career Mode.
